I Invite You To Help Me Practice & Perfect New Fantastic Techniques I am looking for people who want to make big changes in their life, by assisting me in practicing new techniques I am learning. I will be doing these techniques on the days I am not typically in the office, such as Tuesday, amd Friday afternoons , Sat and maybe Sunday mornings. I want to have extra time to work with you and the technique. These techniques are not Chiropractic based, so insurance companies won’t cover them. Since I am new to these techniques, there will only be a small charge ($20.00, about the same as a co-pay),for each session, and you should expect to have 3-4 sessions. To go to a typical therapist that would do these therapies with you, the rates would be at least $100.00 per session. I anticipate each session to last 45 minutes to an hour. The techniques I have been learning are to work with Emotions and their affect on the physical body, and the other one is for energy toxins or allergy type reactions. Emotional Issues: For years I have found some patients not responding to care as I would have expected. I always suspected there were emotional issues connected, but didn’t know how they were connected to the physical body or what to do about it. Through the years I’ve sent people to a couple therapists who didn’t do traditional therapies, but worked with the subconscious and body energy systems and physical issues improved. To learn more about that connection myself, I have taken courses in EFT, or Emotional Freedom technique. If you would like to read about it online, go to www.emofree.com. There is an overwhelming amount of information there available to you. Emotional things happen to everyone. They can be subtle or quite extreme, but events can affect each one of us differently. But we know now that these emotions can be stored in the energy channels or meridians of the body. Those blocked energy meridians can cause physical symptoms. For instance, if you have had anxiety, you typically feel tightness or discomfort in your chest. That physical pain isn’t from a physical cause, it was from an emotion. EFT as explained on the web site: “EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years, but without the invasiveness of needles. Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you think about your specific problem - whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc.” This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmations works to clear the "short-circuit" - the emotional block -- from your body's bioenergy system. This restores your mind and body's balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical disease. Can you benefit from this therapy? Most likely. Think about things in your life that you wish were better. Was there something that happened in your life that happened before this emotional event became a part of your life? Then consider EFT. Can’t quite get over something that happened in you life, wish you could move on with your life? EFT is perfect for that. EFT can’t change the things that happen to us in life, but it releases the way you body deals with it (which is usually in a negative way) and stores it. Think about your life, if you ever wonder if an emotional situation is causing something to occur in your life, it probably is! So give EFT a try. Allergies/Intolerances/Energy toxins: Anything that isn’t responding optimally to your body can be causing you to have reactions. Regardless of how big or small the reaction is, it is considered an allergy or energy toxin. From simple known allergy reactions, stomachaches that just won’t go away, runny nose after we ear, or other subtle discomforts or illnesses we tolerate. This is not just the allergies most common and aware to us. Of course there are food allergies and environmental allergies. But we can have reactions to the vitamins we take, the medications we take, the soap we use, the air we breathe and the list continues to include almost anything we are in contact with. Think about rheumatoid arthritis, it is an auto immune disease. This means the immune system is overreacting and attacking itself over something it is perceiving as foreign. (ie an allergic response) But why does the body overreact? …does anyone really know? What we do know now is that it disrupts or the energy balance in the body. There are practioners that have discovered a simple way to rebalance the energy and have helped greatly or even removed allergies. I have been learning a technique which balances the energies called Allergy Antidotes. This technique was put together by Sandi Radomski who has a masters degree in counseling, a masters in social work, and a doctorate in Naturopathy. The following are notes taken from her website: www.allergyantidotes.com Allergy Antidotes stems from the discoveries of Dr. Roger Callahan, founder of Thought Field Therapy (TFT). Seeking to understand those rare cases when TFT failed to eliminate symptoms as well as when negative symptoms reoccurred, Dr. Callahan discovered that certain people undergo psychological reversal and treatment failure when exposed to substances to which they are particularly sensitive. Callahan calls these substances “energy toxins” since they are poisonous to or weaken the body’s energy system. Reactions to various substances can produce a myriad of symptoms including ADD, anxiety, depression, arthritis, respiratory problems, menstrual difficulties, digestive problems, chronic fatigue, brain fog, panic attacks, headaches, weight gain, learning disabilities, hyperactivity, and aches and pains. Severity of symptoms runs the gamut from nasal congestion to psychosis. Any symptom can be from a substance sensitivity. In turn, any substance can potentially weaken the body’s energy system. Possible culprits range from toxic chemicals such as petrochemicals, to non-toxic substances such as eggs and vitamin C. Since everything is suspect, a methodical system is required to assess whether a particular substance is weakening a person’s energy system. Energy toxins can be easily identified using non-invasive muscle testing. This variety of muscle testing, adapted from Applied Kinesiology, involves the patient holding or thinking about different substances while applying consistent pressure to the patient’s outstretched arm. If the arm “gives way” it is an indication that the held substance is weakening the muscle energy system. Identification of an energy toxin alone can afford a higher quality of life for a sensitive person who can now avoid the reactive substance. Energy psychology treatments help to reprogram the body so that it no longer reacts negatively to the substance. The reprogrammed body no longer views the substance as a poison. Stimulating acupuncture points eliminates the energy imbalance in relation to that substance, thereby ending the body’s negative reaction. The intervention I use is called Etox, or Allergy Antidotes™. This protocol both detects and addresses sensitivities, so in many cases a person will no longer react to a substance after treatment. Kinesiology is utilized to "interview" your body to detect allergies and sensitivities. It is sometimes called muscle testing, but that is somewhat of a misnomer. It actually measures the flow of vital energy in the body (also called qi or prana). When energy is flowing, muscle strength is unaffected, and the muscle remains strong. If energy flow is blocked for any reason, the muscle will temporarily test weak. Kinesiology allows us to assess factors that your conscious mind is not aware of. Thus, the body provides answers from the whole system including mental, emotional and spiritual aspects. So how exactly does allergies antidotes work? Every substance carries its own frequency, and these vibrational frequencies can be copied into glass tubes, which are then used to test the system. We call the frequencies that weaken your system sensitivities, or energy toxins. I have vials with the energetic signature of substances including chemicals, body fluids, foods, emotions, organs, etc. Sometimes I don't have a vial for something you need to clear, and it may be on a list. Or it might just come to mind, and we write the name on a piece of paper and hold that. Even the name carries the vibration. We'll treat your sensitivity using acupressure (applying a tapping pressure, and a cold laser to specific points on acupuncture meridians in the body ) to bring your body back into balance. Essentially, we are clearing any distortions or perturbations from the energy field so that the body remembers how to optimally process the substance, whether it is a pathogen, a nutrient, or a toxin. Will it help you? The honest answer is we don’t know, no technique works 100%. But it has worked on some people already who are happy with their outcomes. Because of the changes people have had already, I believe it has the possibilities of really changing some lives. . If you have the typical allergies to environment or food and want the chance to eliminate it, write down your allergies, or even better bring in the substance. As those are cleared, we may have to dig into everyday things you put into your body. All the foods, medicines, vitamins. You will be totally surprised how your body may not process these things optimally! Optimum is what you want for better health and no allergies. One interesting topic she discusses is anxiety and panic attacks. She thinks it has something to do laundry detergent and fabric softeners. If you want to work on these things, bring small samples of the detergent and softener you use. We can easily muscle test to see if you are reacting to them! But if you also get unexplained headaches, stomachaches, any symptoms no one can figure out, intestinal issues, skin issues, just anything that isn’t getting better, or something you want just to get over with once and for all. Give this a try. The possibilities are almost endless. The Benefits of Raw Juicing Breast cancer, cancer of the colon, esophagus, stomach, lungs, ovaries, and rectum - pick an ailment these days, it seems, and researchers somewhere are searching for chemicals in plants that will prevent them, or offer a cure. These plant chemicals, known as phytochemicals, are the cutting edge of nutritional research because they hold the keys to preventing some of our most deadly diseases, such as cancer and heart disease, as well as some of our most common, like asthma, arthritis, and allergies. The phytochemicals that researchers have uncovered are changing the way we think about food, especially fruits and vegetables. for example, broccoli contains a substance that may prevent - even cure - breast cancer! Citrus fruits have substances that make it easier for your body to remove carcinogens, thus decreasing the chance of contracting cancer. Grapes contain a phytochemical that appears to protect each cells' DNA from damage. Similarly, a number of green vegetables contain phytochemicals that appear to offer protection against cancer-causing substances. The list goes on and on: bok choy, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, collards, kale, kohlrabi, mustard greens, rutabaga, turnip greens, red beets, peppers, garlic, onions, leeks, and chives are but a few of the vegetables that appear to have cancer-preventing phytochemicals. The problem, though, is that most of us don't eat enough fruits and vegetables to reap the benefits they offer. For example, although the National Cancer institute recommends five servings of vegetables and three of fruits each day, the truth is this: The average American eats only 1 1/2 servings of vegetables and, on average, no fruit on any given day. Juicing our fruits and vegetables can provide the answer to fixing our fruit and vegetable deficient diets. The concentrated juices enter our blood streams immediately to boost our energy levels and provide our bodies with much needed nutrients and hydration. Soon after making a commitment to daily juicing, your body will be craving these liquid fruit and vegetables! All of this raises the question, what else is there in the wisdom of juice therapy that, up until now, have traditional nutritional research overlooked or ignored? For example, juice programs often tout the value of adding chlorophyll to your daily diet. Chlorophyll, a substance found exclusively in plants, has a structure similar to hemoglobin, the substance in blood that is responsible for transporting oxygen. During the 1940s, researchers found that consuming chlorophyll enhances the body's ability to produce hemoglobin, thus improving the efficiency of oxygen transport. Since the 1940s, however, there has been little research into the value of chlorophyll. Or, for another example, consider fresh juice's ability to deliver another important group of nutrients, know as enzymes. Enzymes are your body's work force. Acting as catalysts in hundreds of thousands of chemical reactions that take place throughout the body, enzymes are essential for digestion and absorption of food, for conversion of food particles into body tissue, and for the production of energy at the cellular level. In fact, enzymes are critical for most of the metabolic activities taking place in your body every second of every day. They help break down the foods we eat, giving the body a much needed rest. Fresh juices are a tremendous source of enzymes. In fact, the "freshness" of juice is one of their key features, because enzymes are destroyed by heat. When you eat cooked foods, whether its meal, grains, fruits, or vegetables, if the food is cooked at temperatures above 118 degrees, the enzymes have been destroyed by the heat. Since fruits and vegetables are juiced raw, the enzymes are still viable when you drink the juice. Coincidentally, many of the phytochemicals that nutritional researchers are focusing their attention on are either enzymes, or more often, they are substances that help build or activate enzymes that play essential roles in protecting cells from damage. In addition, fruit and vegetable juices are good sources of the traditional nutrients. Citrus fruits (grapefruit, oranges, etc.) provide healthy portions of vitamin C. Carrot juice contains large quantities of vitamin A, in the form of beta carotene. A number of green juices are a good source of vitamin E. Fruit juices are a good source of essential minerals like iron, copper, potassium, sodium, iodine, and magnesium, which are bound by the plant in a form that is most easily assimilated during digestion. Plus, since juicing removes the indigestible fiber, these nutrients are available to the body in much larger quantities than if the piece of fruit or vegetable was eaten whole. Neurotransmitters (or chemical messengers) are released, triggering an increase in emotional response, and influencing memory, concentration, inhibition, and rational thought. The adrenal glands pump out a group of hormones known as glucocorticoids—including the primary stress hormone cortisol—which marshal the heart, lungs, circulation, metabolism, and immune system. The thyroid gland when stressed pumps out hormones that accelerate metabolism, which can cause occasional sleeplessness, nervousness, and exhaustion. Sex hormone levels may be reduced with stress, thereby reducing libido and sexual function. Acute stress may also cause a woman's menstrual cycle to be irregular. Glucose metabolism may fluctuate with stress as the liver releases stores of glucose into the bloodstream and the pancreas decreases insulin secretion, increasing blood sugar levels for needed energy. Heart rate increases during stress as the heart pumps more blood throughout the body. Respiratory function may be altered with stress. In some individuals breathing rate increases. The coordinated activities involved in digestion can be slowed down as energy is diverted in the stress response, possibly resulting in stomach discomforts. Wow! It is not so amazing to believe that stress is the root cause of 95% of all disease. Most of us don’t give a thought as to all the work the body is doing in response to the daily burden of stress. Janette's Vitamin D Experience In the last newsletter, Dr. Crosser wrote about the numerous benefits of Vitamin D. I have been taking 2000 mg of Vitamin D3 for about a year. Shortly after I started taking it, I noticed an improvement in mood. I was in much better spirits, despite the gray skies of winter. Having joined the ‘over 50” club, I went for a recommended bone scan. The results were excellent; especially since my previous one the year prior resulted in being told I had osteopenia (bone thinning). Last week at my bi-annual dental cleaning, the dentist remarked what good bone my teeth were showing. I told him about taking Vitamin D and he asked if were D3, which it is. I also had my Vitamin D level checked and was told it was perfect! It was 44, which according to Dr. Hoffman, it should be over 40. Many labs believe in the 20’s is ok. I absolutely attribute these good reports to the Vitamin D I have been taking, along with a daily calcium supplement. I would certainly encourage you to get your Vitamin D level checked and make any adjustments necessary that will benefit you. Keep in mind that Vitamin D3 is the form you want.
